Maine Coalition to End Domestic Violence (MCEDV)
This is the tutorial that I created for MCEDV!
MCEDV stands for the Maine Coalition to End Domestic Violence. In 2015, I was lucky enough to get a summer-long internship helping this organization with my IT abilities. I edited and refined their website, created and managed a collection of google sites, acted and directed my very own "how-to" video about using Google Sites, and created and customized my own data-base tool. I love being able to help great organizations in a way few other people can. I want to pursue a career where I can use my understanding of technology to do more good work.
Tyler Technology App Challenge
It is crazy to think that something I create could reach thousands or even millions of people. I love knowing that with technology, I could have a positive effect on that many human beings. For this reason I entered the Tyler Technologies App Competition, to make an application to help my local area. Looking at my school one problem clearly stood out to me: stress. My two teammates and I (pictured below) set about creating an application to provide our classmates some respite. As a result, my team was a finalist in the competition, and we were able to spread awareness about healthy ways to handle stress.
